Hello, this is NasdaqAlpha.
Today’s market was genuinely a tough one. The session started with a massive gap down right from the morning bell.
With the market already plummeting heavily, it was nerve-wracking to aggressively chase it with short positions. At the same time, trying to catch a bottom and go long hoping for a rebound felt equally overwhelming and risky.
Unable to find a clear direction, I hesitated back and forth, got caught in the middle of the chop, and essentially just took a beating. After losing my timing and getting shaken out by the erratic moves, I ended up closing today’s session with a disappointing loss of about $1,000.

💡 Today’s Review & Thoughts:
- When the market doesn’t move the way you expect and the direction is ambiguous, the right move is to step back and observe. Instead, I fought the tape in a blurry setup and paid a heavy price for it.
- I am reminding myself once again of my trading motto: “There is no single home run in life. Go slow and steady, never go all-in!” You can’t win every single session, but days like this remind me how crucial it is to stick to your rules and manage risk even when the market is shaking you around.
I’m brushing off today’s bitter loss cleanly, and I’ll approach the next session with an even cooler head and tighter entry discipline. Happy trading to all our subscribers!
